PotD #351 “Rusty Rail”
This evening, I shot a few pics on the way home from work. This is the safety railing over the drainage channel that occasionally overflows and floods my yard. years back, our neighborhood was setup as a neighborhood association but people quit paying dues after the developer went out of business so the road is in serious need of repair. This rail isn’t very sturdy and needs to be painted. At least it looks pretty cool.
PotD #350 “Finally, Some Much Needed Rain”
It has been hot lately, REALLY HOT. With highs in he upper 90s and even climbing into the 100s, we have genuinely been in need of a little relief. We got some this afternoon with a MUCH needed rain. It managed to get us down to the vastly more tolerable mid-80s.
PotD #349 “Blue(berry) Monday”
Today we went to my dads house for a catfish dinner (the ones we caught on saturday). While my dad was frying the fish, I went next door to his neighbors blueberry farm, to take some pictures and to antioxidant-up! This is my favorite shot of the night.
PotD #348 “Britnee – Walkway Pose”
I have finally found some time to work on the rest of the pictures from my photo shoot with Britnee Leigh a few weeks ago. I posted all of the good ones for her to check out and told her to pick her favorites, and this was one of them. I darkened the edges and gave them a little tilt-shift effect, mainly to give the picture more vertical look.
PotD #347 “No Kiss For you Mr. Catfish”
Today I took Aubrey fishing for the first time. We went with my dad to a catfish farm up in Walnut Hill. Aubrey got to help reel in 3 catfish and she reeled in one almost completely by herself. She had so much fun but when we were cleaning them, she didn’t want anything to do with them. My dad held the one she caught up and told her to give it a kiss. She wouldn’t get near it!
PotD #346 “King’s Nuts”
I totally forgot about this one. For some reason I never posted it, but it was one of my favorites from the Ren Faire back in march. And yes King’s Nuts are VERY tasty!
PotD #345 “Cooling Down the Heat Wave”
With the heat indexes the last couple of days being well into the 100s, I wanted to help everyone feel a little cooler, and refreshed. This “frozen” water isn’t ice, but it sure makes me want to jump into a pool full of fresh cool water.
PotD #344 “Optimistic Bush”
For the last few days I have been on “Music Man” picture overload, so todays Picture of the Day is a simple bush, hanging out over one of the channels at Big Lagoon State Park. This image is very calming to me.
